I want to quickly show you my hairstyle for this week just in case you need ideas on how to style your hair.
How To Style
I cut the hair into six parts, and held in place with a hair band or (you could use thread).
I made four chunky twist with the parts at the back and middle, then tuck in place with hair pin.
I braid the tips of the two parts in front, fold them with hair pins. (You could fold and hold in place to the front or to the side like I did mine).
Last week I rocked three burns made to look like a Mohawk, and it lasted the whole week.
The good thing about these hairstyles is, they are quick to do with little manipulation of the hair.

Cause and Effect
It is amazing how people cause unnecessary panic with what they say. A whole city goes into emergency lock down because of rumor. How did this news of forceful immunization come about, how did it even spread so quickly? The things we say could make or mar another person. That been said it is also wise to verify information before acting on them.
I had been a victim, I was coming back from school years back and there was a problem between the Northerners and some youths over the killing of Christians in the north. So we were in a bus waiting for more passengers, when we saw a man running towards us; Immediately people started running someone said "they are coming! they are coming!" We panicked, nobody ask who was coming, we all assumed the worst. We took to the door of the bus, of course! it wasn't big enough for everyone; Some started jumping through the window and some of us were injured in the process. The problem was we did not know where they were coming from so we were so confused on where to run to. Many of us ran into nearby houses, but when we did not see or heard anyone or group of people with cutlass or gun we came out of our hiding places and no one could say why exactly we ran.
Watch what you say, how you interpret what was said and how you spread it. Innocent lives could be lost because of your careless talk.

Just pondering
I do not know why Imo State governor decided to spend tax payers money to erect a statue while some of their roads are not in good condition. I have been thinking about this statue and what story I could tell my children when they ask why a South African president's statue is in Imo State. We would like to see statues of people who has contributed to the development of Imo, so that we will emulate them. I will also like to see those roads repaired and workers paid as at when due. Maybe with that, someone, someday will remember and make a statue of Mr Rochas. The truth is our legacy will leave after us.
What is wrong with our leaders, it is as if they do not even care what happens when they are not around, or how they will be remembered. That position you are occupying will be some one else tomorrow and you can not live forever. It is time to consider what happens to us and the kind of legacy we live.

Be Thankful
I always have problem with seeing well dressed men and women stopping me on the road to ask for money and they have the same reason for begging as the other day. I am not against giving but I can not understand how you would ask for the same thing every time we meet (money for food, money for medication, money for transport). It is hard to know those who genuinely need help and those who are tired of striving like most people to make ends meet. One particular man caught my attention, because he could be regarded as able bodied physically. So because of people like him, I try as much I can to put some money in "St Vincent de Paul" boxes ( you will see these boxes in most catholic churches, to help the poor and needy). I do not want to bother myself with who is genuine anymore but want to help the needy when I have and also be thankful to God that I have what I need and also to give.
Some have food ,they cannot eat
Some can eat but have no food
We have food and we can eat
Glory be to thee oh Lord! Amen
I pray that God will give me the grace to be thankful at all times and give to people when I have.I wanted to post this picture on Facebook but I felt it should also remind us to be thankful for what we have and who we are.

Acrotic poems from children
Making children write poem is always fun because they paint beautiful pictures in their minds
Enjoy!
Happy and scary kids
Asking for candy
Lights flickering
Little footsteps walking
Outside in the dark
Windows cluttering
Endless screaming
Eating candy
Now on October 31st
Pleasant and soothing
Unless you want it wild
Rich
Peaceful
Lovely
Everyone loves it.
Cheerful greetings
Hustling and bustling
Roasting of turkeys
Indoors we feast
Shops are closed
Trees decorated
Merrymaking
And singing
So happy to be part of it
Enjoy!

Every Nigerian life matters
I believe that every soldier is under an authority and are carring out an order.I feel very sad at the event that took place in Abia state. I do not understand why one should throw stones at soldiers who risk their lives to ensure our safety. The consequences of this kind of action could be disastrous. Innocent lives could have been lost if these soldiers did not act with wisdom.
The life of every Nigerian citizen matters. A Nigerian soldier has a right to work or be anywhere in this country like every other Nigerian. Our Igbo brothers, tell your advisors that they are not telling you the truth. We want a country we could be proud of, where we could sit down and imagine our children's future but if we fight against each other, the future is bleak.
Our rulers should ensure no individual takes the law into his hands without punishment.

Pick your beans to remove stones if bought in the local market ,Wash and parboil. remove the water, add another water and boil till soft. Add Salt, Pepper, Onions, Crayfish and Palm oil and seasoning to the beans. Allow to simmer at low heat and add scent leaves for few seconds and turn of the heat.
Boil corn till soft and add a little salt to the water. Allow to cool down and remove the corn from the cob .
