Hair journey

The most important thing everyone should know is that our hair are different, no two persons have exactly the same hair type and react the same way to hair products. My daughters have different hair texture and the react differently to certain hair products. I am saying this because many people will say, I have been natural for this length of time but my hair is still very short  or this hair product is not good. It could be as a result of some factors, so you will be the one to figure out what works for you and what does not.

These pretty ladies have different hair textures, they started their hair journey the same day but do not have the same length of hair; Because we are unique individuals, everything about us is unique. Embrace your hair and continue your hair journey with pride.

I want to quickly show you my hairstyle for this week.

Grazing Ground

Fulani Herdsmen continues to terrorize Nigerian citizens. I was listening to an interview with a Retired Military General this morning on Channels television on the issue of the Fulani herdsmen. He said that provision of grazing fields will help to cut down on this Fulani killings and I tend to agree with him.
I think, since our borders are porous and we can not pull out of ECOWAS, the solution will be grazing fields/grounds provided by the government. The Government will ensure that these fields/ grounds have veterinarians  who takes care of the animal health and farmers who will make sure the animal feeds are planted and grown all year round. This will provide jobs and motivate youths to go into agriculture. Transportation will be provided to convey these cattle to there grazing field or ground , this will stop the clash between the farmers  and herdsmen.
 A Fulani herds man who wants to use any of the grazing fields will have to register with the government  and pay tax thereby providing revenue for the government. If any herdsman is seen wandering around with cattle, let alone seen carrying AK47 he/she will be prosecuted by the state.
This could be achieved if our leaders put there mind (Political will) to it. The citizens of this country are dying in the hands of these herdsmen, the least the leaders could do for us is find a lasting solution to these problem. Their major priority is the safety and well being of the citizens of this great Nation or what do you think?

Making the best out of a frizzy twist out

No more head tie on a bad hair day

Are you having a bad hair day and, you are wondering what to do  about it, fortunately you have the night to decide. Not to worry, this is what I did

1)I wet my hair and twist it  in big chunks

 2) Because I want it stretched, I used a thread to band it up( you could use your hair bands)

 4) I covered my hair with a satin head tie and went to bed.

5) Next morning I moisturized my hair and use hair pins to tuck and pin the front and made a bun at the back

There you have it, you can make anything out of a bad hair day if you are creative.

NO TO XENOPHOBIC TENDENCIES!!

A lot of people migrate to other places for so many reasons, this has brought growth, development, awareness, exchange of culture and also sharing of knowledge. No tribe, culture, or country should claim to know it all. It is important we see good in other people, so that we will have an open mind towards learning something different. We should not be afraid of the next person because no one can do more than what God allowed him or her to do.
This brings me to the Xenophobic attack in South Africa. I looked  up xenophobia in the Dictionary,and it is defined as dislike of or prejudice against people from other countries. My question is this, a country like South Africa that has different races living together and has immersed so much wealth, growth and development as a result of this, suddenly woke up to dislike people from other countries. I see it as trying to destroy what one has spent years building.  If this is Political, it should stop now because a lot will go wrong. Today it is Africans, tomorrow it may be Asians, then to other continents. If Investors see a particular area as being always in chaos, they will not invest, people with a wealth of knowledge will not come to  such area. So you are not only losing money, you are also loosing manpower and knowledge. To South Africans, face your fears and do not destroy this country that intelligent and wise people fought so hard to build. Also you have committed an injustice to Nigerian's and other African countries, you have killed, and destabilized because you dislike them.
PLEASE SAY NO TO ANY XENOPHOBIC TENDENCIES

Haiku with me!

 After reading a post by Steven Sawyer on (https://bloggingmeetup.com/chat?iframe=true&theme_preview=true) Haiku, a traditional Japanese poetry, I was thrilled to try my hand on it.

Run, Run, Lagos!!

The just concluded Lagos state annual marathon, has shown once again the incompetent ability of Nigerians in sports and also in a positive way our love for sports.
Many Lagosians came out en mass to run but like last year the best runners won. In as much as this brings joy, development, unity in Lagos, we want the Lagos state government to encourage our sport activities more by providing the necessary amenities and instructors so that Lagosians will compete favorably. We should have intrastate marathon competitions  for competitors all round the year to prepare for this annual Marathon. This will encourage Lagosian to get fully involved in sports  and see it as a means of livelihood. Lagos has always set the pace for others to follow, so we employ our Governor to go all out to see that our own people are ready the next time, I am sure we will not disappoint.
