One Voice

 Flood in Owerri

This picture was sent to me on whatsapp today and when I traveled to Owerri last year, there were so many abandoned road projects in fact the World Bank Estate roads which has the only manageable road to my estate, were in terrible shape.
Online, there has been pictures of what Imo-state government is doing but a lot of people are still complaining of poor roads, inability to pay the complete salary of workers. The rate of complain is so much that I am wondering if the people of Imo-state cannot come under one umbrella and decide on what to do next. They voted in the present governor and if he is not doing well, he should be ask to leave.
When a community like Imo-state can not stand as one to decide what they want, how possible can it be to decide under Biafra.
 Biafra has shown that there method of independence is by force and dictatorship(you do not force people to stay at home or close their businesses because you are trying to prove a point that benefits you). When the Igbo's decide to talk with one voice, then they are capable of being independent.

That being said of my people, let us talk about our country, 2017 budget was signed in the month of June ,that is six months into 2017; Unfortunately most of the things that require building will have to wait because this is the raining season, again things that concern food productionmay have suffered and farmers may expect low production that means scarcity. The planting season is almost over in fact foodstuff like corn, vegetables etc are being  harvested now. The question is, how is this country going to move forward?
The issue of health is of great concern, On the television yesterday, UN representative is saying that the numbers we claim to have been immunized in a lot of areas are not accurate as compare to their findings. Today we have outbreak of Lassa fever, tomorrow is Cholera. Despite the fact that the immunization against Polio has been going on more than a decade ago, some children are still suffering from it. What is the Ministry of health doing or going to do about it?
Now we come back to our various communities; In my area it takes almost a month for the waste management to remove the waste yet we pay waste bill, even when you complain, the excuse is not more than spoilt vehicle or "no vehicle" available at the moment. Then in the night you can't have a good night rest because rats and cockroaches are feeding fat.
The truth is the government can not see everything, that is why we have representatives and we can make them work if we agree with one voice
It is important to work towards the growth and development of our country, if you agree lend your voice in every area you find yourself, so that those who have ears can hear.

The Heart of Men

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? Some  Igbo's, for reasons best known to them decided that Biafra is the way forward.  On the 30th of May 2017  asked workers not to go to work even if you do not agree with them on the actualization of Biafra. A report from this site , http://saharareporters.com/2017/06/06/northern-youths-declare-war-igbos-north-ask-them-%E2%80%98leave%E2%80%99-within-three-months (you can check it out) is talking about the Northern youths asking Igbo's to leave.
It is time each of us sits down and weigh the pros and cons of our actions. What do we stand to gain from this? let us talk about a state in the east like Imo-state, the citizens are still owed salaries, life is difficult for most of their citizens yet they are been governed by a son of the soil, by their own person. Who said that things will get better by actualizing a Biafran state?  "Don't forget Igbo enweghi eze"
Now, for the north, asking the Igbo's to leave does that in any way increase development in the state. I believe that positive interaction between two people brings growth and development.We should ask our leaders to be accountable not kill one another. If your brother ask you to carry arms make sure that he and his entire family are with arms and are at the fore front before you think about it. I am saying this for the sake of our children, they deserve to live a life  of Peace, justice and love. This country has seen so much blood shed and terror in the hands of strangers and even brothers.
I do not know why my neighbour want Biafra or why he/she want the Igbo's to leave the North so I cannot join a cause that will endanger my generation.

GUINESS WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT UPDATE

Team Nigeria, has finally carried out their 150 hours theater performance,  I was impressed by their performance and dedication because sometimes on my way to drop my kids at school I take time to watch them. They put their effort and might into it and I am happy they came up with this idea.
My concern was the setting and their accommodation, most mornings you see some of them lying on the floor behind the stage which was a small space in the middle of a major road. The few sits available could sit mostly the crew, so the audience are either standing or walking by.

Then I do not understand why adequate arrangements were not made for accommodation, because I saw some of the ladies looking for where they can have a bath or clean up. It wasn't funny for me because if they were sponsored/supported by the Lagos State Government then their accommodation should be priority. So I am angry with whomever was in charge of logistics and planing for not making adequate arrangement for an event you want the world to talk about.
To Team Nigeria, more grease to your elbow.
